Pocket-Tactics: Scilinoid War Quarry

$10.00

In direct response to the tyrannical threat from the New Dominion, the scilinoids offer their formidable might. Though usually preferring a mostly solitary existence, the scilinoids have been motivated into cooperation with each other and myriad other species from around the Multiverse. Far from Quadra 7, the scilinoid home world, they have hardened their already considerable will and even more considerable abilities into the defensive bulkhead known as War Quarry. So named due to the scilinoid appearance as boulder-like humanoids, members of War Quarry have taken a shine to the moniker as they are aware of their appearance and many species need to make the unfamiliar familiar with readily accessible, descriptive names. It means they are accepted. Besides, Grevhyz, the language of the scilinoids, is unpronounceable by those who don’t have a rocky exterior.

TACTICS: The Scilinoid War Quarry plays to a defensive strategy, the units bolstering one another and poisoning the tiles around them for non-Scilinoid units.

Pocket-Tactics is a fast-paced, modular strategy boardgame in which fantasy forces battle for control of a randomly generated hex map. We first introduced Pocket-Tactics as a 3D print-and-play game back in 2012. It's had lots of iterations in the years since and this is the commercial version.

The set features ONE faction: Scilinoid War Quarry, including:

- 6 unique sci-fi miniature STLs
- hex terrain tiles
- rules PDF with printable stat cards

The miniatures are 15mm scale, but we’ve included enlarged standard (30mm) scale versions as well (with corresponding tiles) for players who would like a “Table-Tactics” experience. These larger models would also be great for any tabletop RPG or wargame!

The 15mm designs are optimized to print on home FDM machines without need for supports. They also print beautifully in resin. Keep in mind that because of the 15mm optimization, the need for supports on the 30mm versions may vary.

Miniatures designed by Jeremy Larsen.
